3 Drink Ideas When You Dislike Water

Staying hydrated is an important part of your overall health. As humans, we are made of 60% water as well. Since water is such a big part of who we are, we must take the time to hydrate ourselves properly. It is recommended that you drink eight 8-oz cups of water a day. This is great for your hair, skin, digestive system, and overall health functions. But for some drinking all that water feels like too much, and for others, it does not feel like it is enough. However, what happens when you just do not like to drink water at all?

For some, the thought of drinking water sounds terrible. Perhaps it is the lack of flavor that makes it hard to get down, but whatever the reason, it is important to implement alternatives or transform the water to help you get it down and keep you feeling hydrated.

Here are some ideas:

1. Flavor That Water

A fantastic way to amp up your water intake is to add natural flavor to it. This can take shape in the place of lemons, limes, berries, watermelon, mint, etc. Adding these to your water creates a nice infusion of flavors without adding a massive amount of calories. Plus it is quite refreshing!

2. Herbal Tea

There are so many different kinds of herbal teas that you can implement into your diets such as hibiscus, chamomile, mint, and lavender. Maybe you brew a big patch and turn it into iced tea for the week. You will still get the benefits of drinking water, but the flavor experience will be amplified. Plus, you will not feel any jitters as herbal tea does not contain caffeine.

3. Drink Seltzer

Carbonated flavored water or seltzer is a good addition to your diet. Flavors vary from orange to mango, to lime, to unique flavors like hibiscus and starfruit. The carbonation is fantastic for your digestion and may increase your feelings of fullness.

Drinking water is not for everyone but is important for your health to consume liquids. Maybe you try some of these options or get creative with your choices. Yes, water can be boring, but you can transform it into something incredible for your taste buds, while treating your body with kindness.
